LUXURY OF LANDSCAPE
Aneka Manners
"Luxury of Landscape" was a multi-disciplinary art installation curated by Aneka Manners in Florence, Italy, held at Palazzo Pandolfini, a historic private residence. It showcased a range of Australian creative talent across various art forms. The event, which featured fashion, fine jewelry, sound, sculpture, and visual arts, aimed to explore the beauty and transience of landscape through a blend of contemporary and ancient aesthetics.

Multi-disciplinary artist Aneka Manners curated the installation, drawing upon her unique appreciation for patterns across seemingly divergent areas, such as art, fashion, and finance. The installation was hosted in the Palazzo Pandolfini, a 16th-century Italian palace, and included curated Florentine wine and food experiences, along with a luxury store and exclusive member's lounge.
The event featured a diverse group of Australian creatives, including musician/composer Rachel Claudio, photographer Lilli Waters, and florist/artist Dr. Lisa Cooper, who presented conceptual botanical installations.
The installation was centred around the "beauty and transience of landscape," with works that evoked both the natural world and the human condition. It was the first installation of its kind in Florence and served to highlight Australian talent on an international stage.
The event also reflects Aneka Manners' personal philosophy of embracing a multi-disciplinary approach to life and career, challenging the notion that one must specialise in a single field.
UNEVEN - Excerpt 4 from Luxury of Landscape
This meditational movie was filmed in a forest in Latvia. The fact that the silk jacket worn - designed and made by Aneka Manners - has all same colours as the landscape was sheer serendipity.
